He is worried he won't be good enough for them. After a year he has moved back home by his family. He does not want to be set up on blind dates. Dylan and Harmony live next door right now and agree to help each other out.
Maybe that will stop everyone trying to set them up for awhile. I like how everyone is reaching out to try and help each other. Harmony gets the idea to buy a horse that is not getting enough feed. She thinks she can take care of the horse and help the ranch couple at the same time. Harmony starts out by keep helping where she can. This deals with a lot of hard issues with compassion and makes the characters believable and real.
It is a good story. The kids are so cute and are so needy of love. They give their love too. Harmony is afraid that she will bring harm to Callie and Cash. She has not forgiven herself for her part in her friend's death. This is a emotional book for me. It touched me in many ways. It is a clean read. I love the final book in the Cooper Creek series but I'm sad to see it end! I've enjoyed all the books! Brenda finished the series very satisfyingly! Harmony Cross has hit rock bottom trying to recover from a lifestyle that included partying, alcohol, a car crash that killed her best friend, addiction to painkillers and memories that leave her with self-doubt and low self-esteem. She returns to her hometown needing space and time to think. Dylan Cooper just became a single father, due to a frien I love the final book in the Cooper Creek series but I'm sad to see it end!
Dylan Cooper just became a single father, due to a friend dying and leaving him her children! He promised her he'd raise them as she died from cancer. Now he realizes that's a very big job and he doesn't really know what he's doing!
Single Dad Cowboy (Cooper Creek, #8) by Brenda Minton
But he grew up in a large family so he has a lot of people to turn to! He and Harmony have known each other for years so they are going to help each other. Of course it turns to more than that I loved that many Coopers made an appearance so we could say "goodbye" to them. I will miss them. A very realistic book as people struggle with issues in their life. I enjoyed this book very much! May 19, Clare O'Beara rated it liked it Shelves: america-romance. I enjoy Brenda Minton's books. This tale follows a lady who left town, got addicted to prescription drugs, got clean and came home to restore something of her identity.
Buying an unbroken horse might not have been the wisest move for a girl who still limps from a serious car accident, but luckily her neighbour, who hauls the horse home for her, offers to drop in and keep an eye on matters. He's caring for two kids under five, who are not his but he adopted them when their mother died.
If the two I enjoy Brenda Minton's books. If the two adults let everyone know they are friends, it would stop the well-meaning people trying to set him up with dates and other people checking that the girl's doing okay. The subtext to the story is that the lady's mother was a drug addict - and, when she is found, still is.
Did this have a bearing on the slide to addiction of her daughter? Society needs to look at the long-term issues surrounding drug abuse. This struck me as a pleasant, easy read about likeable people. Oct 26, Kate rated it liked it. There were little snippets of Dylan's involvement with Katrina's kids in the previous Cooper Creek book, but we didn't find out what happened until this book.
I liked how that situation set Dylan up as a caregiver, a nurturer, from the very get-go. I also liked how Harmony came to find her own place of being a caregiver when she learned to allow herself God's grace and that even if she messed up, she was still worthy of love. The storyline itself didn't feel rushed, though, interestingly, the epi There were little snippets of Dylan's involvement with Katrina's kids in the previous Cooper Creek book, but we didn't find out what happened until this book. The storyline itself didn't feel rushed, though, interestingly, the epilogue did.
Maybe that was because this was the last of the Cooper Creek novels, so the author felt like she had to tie up any loose ends. Dec 26, Llaph rated it really liked it Shelves: inspirational , contemporary , western. I like this series and I think this book was one of my favorites of the whole.
Everything about it just worked and the best part, at least to me, is that the issues of faith or anything Christian related wasn't so blatent as to be a turn off to someone who doesn't read this genre of books often. I started this series reading The Rancher's Secret Wife and eagerly started it from the beginning. It was just wholesome and good and not that fake stuff that can be found on TV that drives me barmy.

My ta I like this series and I think this book was one of my favorites of the whole. My tastes vary a lot and this genre is not one that I want to read often, but it is a good break from the other genres I read. Feb 16, June rated it it was amazing. Sad to see and end come to the Cooper's. This was another wonderful story. Dylan is a single father of two, having taken over guardianship of his friends children. Harmony is a recovering addict.
