Unfortunately, they have no idea of the enormity of the evil they face. As their investigation leads them astray, the monster has reproduced, and gargoyle eggs are hatching a reign of terror worldwide. The result is a struggle between good and evil of mythological proportions. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Rossotto Edited by Michael Kuge Production companies. Dread Central. I suspected I'd probably start it and find it was another on those Twilight clones. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed them, a lot, but there are some real stinkers out there.

Upcoming Events

Thankfully, I was delighted when I was drawn in from the first page with Sherri's wonderful writing style. The story does have parallels with The Twilight and Mortal Instrument books, in that a normal girl finds forbidden Blows The Mortal Instruments out of the water! The story does have parallels with The Twilight and Mortal Instrument books, in that a normal girl finds forbidden love, but the way it's told is frankly amazing.

It's written in first person, each chapter being told through the eyes of either Izzy Isabel , the heroine, or from the eyes of Asher; Ashmael, the Angel of Death. This is a brilliant move on the authors part. Not many people can do first person POV well, but Sherri nails it. The story is deep and the plot line twists and turns like a corkscrew that's been over tightened. It is the characters, however, that will keep you reading I seriously couldn't put this book down.

The two main protagonists are backed up by a subcast of deep and well developed friends. There's even the Grim Reaper in here! The enemy is likewise sufficiently well written that you will genuinely loathe her. What results is probably the best paranormal romance I've ever read. In fact, I'd put it up there with one of the best books I've ever read, and I intend to get book two as soon as I post this review. Sep 07, K. This is when I started to go a little crazy in a good way trying to guess what was going on with Isabel.

I found myself immediately connecting with her and thoroughly enjoyed how strong she is for a protagonist. One of the most memorable scenes in the book was the haunted house. That scene was so much fun but I really enjoyed when it transitioned into something much darker.

The entire scene had me on the edge of my seat and it set the perfect tone for the rest of the book. Wingler on that one. I am more than ready for book 2 to be released after that ending You will not be disappointed. I devoured this book. Everything about this story was simply perfection. The description of Speaking of which, can we just bottle up Asher's scent? Maybe make a candle out of it?

On the Wings of Darkness

Because that needs to happen. I need that in my life. The characters we so well written. I could picture all of them even the secondary characters. The whole premise of the story is great. I love me some Angel of Death stories. My only I devoured this book. My only issue, the WTF ending. I mean, it was good. Great really. But it leaves me wanting MORE!

Like, book 2 needs to be in my hands right now. Wingler is an amazing storyteller. This book needs to be in your life, right now! I really enjoyed this book it had great pace, not too slow and not too fast. I enjoyed the story and the characters, some more than others. It had plenty of action, humor and some nice twist and turns in it.

Though she had moments where see seemed a little childish but giving the things she is going through it was forgivable. I struggle to find the words that contain the admiration I have for the author in writing such a wonderful book. The pages in my Kindle could not be swiped as quickly as I wanted. I just know this book is one of impressive first novel I sit in stunned silence contemplating the fate of Izzy, Asher, Grim and Gwen I just know this book is one of the best novels I have read in awhile Loved, loved, loved it!!!!

Great characters, the plot pulls you in from the first chapter and this is most definitely one that I stayed up waaaay past my bedtime reading because I just had to read one more page, one more page to see what was going to happen next! I can't wait to read the 2nd book and to go back and read the newly released prequel!!!! Page Turner. Can't wait to get the second book. I keep hoping for a happy ending for everyone.

  • Jul 10, Jenny Whetzel rated it it was amazing. This is the first time reading anything by this author and I already purchased the sequel. This also is a great story for readers of romance or readers that like to read about angels. The characters are likable despite they are viewed as something negative.

And I especially love this story as it had the ending I was not expecting. Jan 03, Daylin Knight rated it it was amazing. I will admit I don't like romance novels Romance should be in a book, but I don't like it when it is the main focus. I didn't realize the amount of romance in this when I purchased it. I realized it pretty quickly and debated about stopping reading then.

    Wings Of Darkness -

I decided against it and I am so glad that I did. The book got better and better. The characters were amazing. Sherri created a wonderful villain and I hate her. I can't wait till I have the time to get my hands on the sequel an I will admit I can't wait till I have the time to get my hands on the sequel and continue the series.

I'm so glad this wasn't scary, it's lovely. This is the first book I've read by this author, and since it's about death I thought it might be scary. It's more about love than death, and though there are scary elements, and certainly some sadness, it's so beautifully written I have to read more by her.

I intend to continue with this series. Ok first off yes I rang in the New Year with a book haha but as good as this book was you cannot really blame me for it. I absolutely love this book and the characters within it, I could not put it down to save my life if I had to. If you are looking for a different take on Death itself then this is the book to read. I am going to try my best to not spoil the story for you all lol.

I want to start off with the Characters and the friendship between them. The main female character is Isabel or wha Ok first off yes I rang in the New Year with a book haha but as good as this book was you cannot really blame me for it. The main female character is Isabel or what she prefers to be called is Izzy.

She's a strong independent stubborn girl that likes to avoid conflict as much as possible but her best friend Gwen on the other hand is the complete opposite of her except for being stubborn. Gwen will speak her mind in a way that leaves most people with their mouth hanging open. Their friendship reminds me a lot of the friendship I have with my best friend from college, we pretty much have the same dynamic.

Which is how I connected so well with both of these girls in the book. For the male main character Asher, or Ashrael The Angel of Death, is that silent brooding type every girl dreams of that is a little territorial. For his best friend Grim or Samael The Grim Reaper, let's just say he is one sick and twisted person that enjoys his job a little too much. You can definitely see it in the way he helps out and stands by Asher's side when he gets himself in to trouble. On to the crazies now or at least that is what I am going to call them.

You have Father time Cronus who is a bit eccentric and believed to be actually crazy, granted when you see the past, present, and future all at the same time… you really cannot blame him for being a bit crazy. I actually kind of wish we had a bit more of him in the book just to see how he interacted with Asher and with the other characters maybe in the next book. Then there is Fate or Clotho who is the very definition of crazy bitch and takes holding a grudge to a whole new level! Now you are probably a little confused with all these characters that are associated with death Asher, Grim, and Suriel.

    Quest:Wings of Darkness and Death

Well like I said earlier this is a different take on Death itself and I would explain buuuuut I feel like that might give away too much. All I will say is a quote from Asher and that is "Death is everywhere, and it is constant. Happy Reading!!!!! View 1 comment. Over the last year I have read some phenomenal books by Indie Authors, books that made me laugh till my sides hurt, cry real tears, book that were addictive. A friend of mine recommended this book to me a long time ago and I picked it up on my kindle in March where it has sat with so many others on my TBR list.

I finally decided it was time to read it. It isn't generally a genre I read but I am open to all genres. The cover appealed and I liked the sound of it. The moment I opened this book I was Over the last year I have read some phenomenal books by Indie Authors, books that made me laugh till my sides hurt, cry real tears, book that were addictive. The moment I opened this book I was dragged in minus the kicking and screaming. The prologue pulls you in from the first word.

    On Wings Of Darkness

I can't really put an example on here otherwise I would have to copy and paste the whole prologue. Izzy is a young American girl who is involved in an accident and although she meets the Angel of Death it is not her time to die. What Asher Angel of Death does is unheard of and it changes her life forever as it does his existence. I loved this book from the beginning to the end, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

The flow was strong throughout. There was excitement and edge of your seat drama and quieter moments as the author allowed you to really get to know the characters. It is fantasy but I believed it. I lived it and I can only say thank God I have book two to start straight away. There is nothing about this book that I think didn't work or could be improved on.

Note to author: Please have book three finished within the week I can't wait any longer. This book had me hooked from the beginning and refused to let me sleep. I loved this characte This book had me hooked from the beginning and refused to let me sleep.

This is where Asher intervenes. As you may suspect, Izzy, suddenly begins healing, and she becomes concerned with her new self. Asher and Izzy become close and learn amazing things about one another, and themselves, and together they become more amazing than ever before. Love guides them and makes them more powerful than they could ever imagine. You will fall in love with Izzy and Asher, and even her best friend Gwen.

They felt and seemed like more natural and realistic. I beg to differ, and I have read a lot. After you read this, I think you will think differently. It was an amazing read, well written, and easy to follow along, and understand. I truly enjoyed this story, and I think you will too!
